El fiscal general Mariano Sánchez ratificó las acusaciones contra Ernesto Cruz Cárdenas y María Belén Salinas por usurpación, daños y ataques a guardaparques durante la toma de un lote en 2020.
El Ministerio Público mantuvo los cargos por usurpación, daño agravado y atentado a la autoridad contra Ernesto Cruz Cárdenas y María Belén Salinas , señalados como responsables de la ocupación de un lote dentro del Parque Nacional Los Alerces en enero de 2020. La acusación incluye la destrucción del puente Arrudo Cascada, ataques a vehículos oficiales y agresiones a guardaparques.
Según el fiscalSánchez, los imputados intentaron incendiar el puente, cortaron rutas, destruyeron un Cristo, atacaron la iglesia del parque, rompieron alambrados y quemaron tranqueras. También se los acusa de arrojar piedras contra una camioneta oficial y contra una guardaparque que intentaba sofocar un incendio.
La prueba reúne actas, videos, audios y testimonios de guardaparques, pobladores y visitantes. Durante el juicio declararon 26 testigos y se incorporaron otros registros por lectura. La querella, en representación de Parques Nacionales, pidió siete años de prisión para Cárdenas y la Fiscalía seis, ambas de cumplimiento efectivo.
Cárdenas está detenido tras permanecer casi dos años prófugo y presentarse días antes del inicio del debate. Salinas enfrenta el proceso en libertad. Este lunes será el turno de los alegatos de la defensa, y luego el tribunal escuchará las últimas palabras de los acusados antes de dictar sentencia.
