El Ministerio de Economía anunció que la calificadora de riesgo Moody’s Local Argentina elevó la calificación crediticia de la provincia , respaldada por una «sólida base de ingresos propios» y una «mejora sostenida en los resultados fiscales» durante el primer trimestre de 2024.
Esta nueva calificación confirma la tendencia observada a finales del año pasado y pone fin al «proceso de revisión a la baja» que mantenía la provincia, modificando su perspectiva a «estable».
El ministro de Economía, Facundo Ball, destacó que la mejora en la calificación «es una señal de fortaleza económica y financiera», no solo para mostrar los resultados de la gestión fiscal de la provincia, sino también para atraer inversiones internacionales.
Ball explicó que la calificación anterior era negativa. El informe de Moody’s Local Argentina resalta la «sólida base de ingresos propios » de la provincia, así como el flujo de «ingresos asociados a moneda extranjera en concepto de regalías», ya que Chubut es una de las principales productoras de petróleo del país.
Sin embargo, el informe también señala que «un nuevo aumento de gastos corrientes es un factor que puede generar un deterioro de la calificación», dado que los elevados niveles de endeudamiento y la exposición a moneda extranjera son debilidades crediticias de la provincia.
